This Macon Arsenal Confederate P-1853 Enfield Rifle is a classic example of a Confederate imported musket that clearly saw use in the field. The Macon arsenal shortened this rifle added a brass barrel band and replaced the ramrod with one of their iron foraged one. The ram rod is how we know it was done there as it is their pattern. The stock has the Birmingham proofs for export behind the trigger guard and a repair uniquely done on the wrist at the arsenal. The gun is in about very good condition, unmolested and uncleaned; right out of the attic. The bore show rifling and is dark.This is a rare Confederate used firearm that came into the South thru the blockade and repaired and put back into service. This is a 1862 dated Enfield truly a great find as most were 1863 & 64 dated. One of 10,000 delivered and survived till today.

If for any reason you are unhappy with the relic just return it UNALTERED within 5 days for a refund minus shipping charges and restocking fee of 6%. Layaways can be arranged on items over $100. Layaway terms are; 1/3 down and 1/3 in 30 days with balance due in full in 60 days. Due to time factors there are no refunds or price discounts on layaways.
