Here is a chance to own one of the finest South Carolina Hat Insignia we have had come in. A finely struck, stamped brass South Carolina hat insignia measuring about 3 inches tall. This still retains all of its gilt finish on its face and reverse. Two brass pins are soldered in place on the reverse, and still intact, to affix it to a shako or hat. This insignia is typical of the prewar militia insignia marketed by military goods dealers to volunteer companies who began to dramatically increase in number in the southern states as the war approached. This an impressive insignia with the state’s Palmetto tree at center with two oblong shields resting against it bearing the state motto, and the date 1776 centered at its base as a reminder of independence. A very showy piece of military headgear insignia.

Items can be shipped FedEx or USPS Priority Mail. Georgia residents must include 7% sales tax. All items are 100% GUARANTEED. If for any reason you are unhappy with the relic just return it UNALTERED within 5 days for a refund minus shipping charges and restocking fee of 6%. Layaways can be arranged on items over $100. Layaway terms are; 1/3 down and 1/3 in 30 days with balance due in full in 60 days. Due to time factors there are no refunds or price discounts on layaways.
