Sharkskin grip and wire are in fair to good condition with no wire wrap. Blade is gray but etch is deep and strong. Obverse blade is stamped Horstmann & Sons Philadelphia. There are no US symbols on the blade of this sword. It very well could have been used by a Confederate Officer.
