Dug Civil War Era Lions Head Two Piece Buckle

📜 Description

This is a nice dug two-piece buckle with a lion's face on the tongue. It is dug with a chocolate patina, and both pieces are stamped number 69. No dug location information. These were imported from England during the US Civil War. It is a heavy cast brass and shows the wear of supporting heavier accoutrements.
