📜 Description

Up for sale is a Civil War Model 1858 U S Cartridge Box, with a U.S. Boxplate. These early cartridge boxes had a brass lead filled US plate used to hold down the leather flap. This one is still in good to fair condition as the leather surface has dried. I will treat it before it is shipped. The brass plate is very nice I have not removed it to see if its maker marked. It has both cartridge tins and is complete.
