Complete nice looking shell 25lbs. The iron nose surface has some surface pitting. Should clean up easily. The lead cup sabot is also in very nice shape and exhibits 9 distinct lands and grooves. Nose is wide and rounded and believe it is a case shot round. The nose has the Dyer time fuse and was never fired no rifling on sabot.

This is a late war shell used mostly around Petersburg and Richmond.

This projectile was meant for use in the 4.5 inch Siege Rifle.
